OUR POLICY OF PAYMENT

Payment is due in full on the day services are rendered.  We accept VISA, MasterCard, cash or CareCredit financing plans.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept checks.  You will be given an itemized and correctly coded receipt for all the services we provide.

We are a VSP (Vision Service Plan) preferred provider for laser vision correction services.  Please tell the front desk if you have VSP prior to your visit.

Financing Plans Are Available

CareCredit financing plans are available to suit all budgets.  We offer NO INTEREST plans for 6 months, 12 months, 18 months or 24 months on approved credit.  That’s up to two years NO INTEREST financing if paid in full within the promotional period.  Here is how it works:

  1. You apply for a line of credit with CareCredit (a GE Financial company).  This takes about 3 minutes.  You can apply in person at our office, over the phone by calling 1-800-365-8295 or go to CareCredit.com.
  2. The credit decision is immediate.  If you are approved you will receive an account number and a line of credit.  A card will arrive in the mail about 2 weeks after you are approved.  You can use your CareCredit account at any provider that accepts CareCredit.  Many healthcare providers accept CareCredit as well as many dentists and veterinarians.
  3. On the day payment is due please bring your account number (or card if you’ve received it already) and your valid photo I.D. with you.  You will tell us at that time which plan you wish to select.  We will process your payment. Approximately 3 to 6 weeks later you will receive the bill for your monthly payment from CareCredit.

 

What about my insurance coverage?

If you are seeing us for cataracts or another medical condition of the eye, we will gladly verify your deductible and co-insurance amounts in advance of or on the day of your first appointment.  Please be prepared to pay in full for the deductible and co-insurance amounts you will be responsible for.  We will bill your insurance for their portion of your care if you desire.

Unfortunately, we cannot bill your insurance if you are seeing us for laser vision correction or our cosmetic services.  LASIK surgery is generally considered elective and most insurance plans do not cover the cost of the procedure. Although more plans are starting to offer some form of coverage, the plans and the coverage differ widely and make it cost prohibitive for us to bill for you.  If you are seeing us for laser vision correction of any kind, we highly recommend that you contact your insurance directly to see if you can be reimbursed for any of your costs. You will be given an itemized and correctly coded receipt for all the services we provide which you can then submit to your insurance.

CAN I USE MY FLEX SPENDING ACCOUNT (FSA) OR MY HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT (HSA) TO PAY FOR SERVICES? 

Yes, laser vision correction is a qualified medical expense for funds in your flex spending account or your health savings account. Most, if not all, of the services we provide here including office visits, BotoxCosmetic treatment, Juvederm treatments, cataract surgery, etc. would qualify under the IRS Publication 502 as eligible medical expenses.
