A refractive lens exchange (RLE) is an outpatient procedure that is similar to cataract surgery. Instead of reshaping the cornea to achieve better vision like LASIK, a RLE replaces the natural lens inside the eye with a intraocular lens (IOL). There are different types of IOLs that correct vision in slightly different ways.

The Refractive Lens Exchange package utilizes the best technologies to restore near vision and distance vision.

Laser RLE surgery (blade-free) performed with a LenSx femtosecond laser to gently, precisely and reliably perform the incisions involved and to assist in the removal of the natural lens.
Advanced multifocal lens with or without astigmatism correction as is considered necessary. Astigmatism will be addressed with the intraocular lens implant or with femtosecond laser-assisted astigmatic keratotomy.
ORA System optimization – precise real time analysis of your visual system during surgery for enhanced selection and precision in the placement of the new intraocular lens implant.
